About the area

Our Ferndown Office

Starting out from humble beginnings, Hearnes has grown into a thriving business with five branches scattered across Dorset and Hampshire. Since 1996, the company has gone from strength to strength, and we are proud of the excellent service we provide to our customers, and the successful company we have built.

Following the success of the first Bournemouth office, Lynda Hearne and Lyndon Le Boutillier were keen to expand the business by opening another branch in the picturesque town of Ferndown. Recognising an opportunity in the market, Hearnes Ferndown quickly established itself as market leaders, and the growth of the branch was phenomenal.

Trading now since 1998, Hearnes Ferndown is a well-established business that has become an integral part of the community. You need only walk down the road to be struck by the sheer number of Hearnes’ sold boards beside countless properties in the area.

Now located on Ringwood Road in the heart of the town centre, it’s within easy access for residents, or those who are visiting the area. Customers — past and present — continually call in to ask for our advice and assistance, and as a result, we’ve fast become one of Ferndown’s leading estate agents, having grown through constant recommendations and repeat business.

Our hard-working, loyal members of staff have been with the company for many years, so office morale is always high. We are like one big family, always happy to help others in the office, and always willing to go that extra mile. Their friendly attitude, extensive knowledge and outstanding customer service makes them unparalleled to any other agent in the town. The staff take a real pride in what they do; nothing is too much trouble.

Heading up the Ferndown office is James Hadley-Cliff, the Branch Director, who joined the company in 2010. He’s diligently trained his staff to be patient, thorough and unwaveringly professional. With a strong focus on providing slick, masterful photography and up-to-date technology, Hearnes Ferndown ensures appropriate advertising exposure to achieve the best possible price with each potential sale, taking into account each client’s requirements.

Representing a varied range of properties and values all over the Ferndown area, we treat every sale individually, making sure all clients and properties gets the due attention they deserve.

We have a close relationship with the local community, and each year sponsor the Ferndown Carnival and Ferndown lights, whilst regularly assisting with sports clubs, schools and a local dance school. We recently held a photography competition, in conjunction with the local school, which proved a huge success.

Pillars of the community with years of industry experience, we pride ourselves on being Ferndown’s leading estate agents, always striving to go above and beyond in everything we do.

So, if you are thinking of buying or selling a property in the area, feel free to pop in and meet the team. We’ll be ready to give you a warm welcome and provide you with all the investment, lettings or sales advice you need.

James Hadley-Clift

Born in Cambridgeshire, James has spent much of his life moving around England, but has been brought up predominantly in Harrow, North London. He moved to this area in 2006 to be closer to family.

He has previously run a company in the photographic and publishing sector for 15 years, which gave him the opportunity to travel to 25 different countries in 5 different continents. He has been in Estate Agency since 2007 having cut his teeth in difficult market conditions, thereby learning agency the hard way. He joined Hearnes in 2010 as a Senior Property Consultant, soon after achieving promotion to Assistant Manager and promoted to Branch Manager in 2013 becoming a Director in 2015.

Having married Abi in 2012 they now have two daughters, and James has given up his hobbies of photography, art, cricket, football and spreadsheats, in favour of sleep and nappies!
