When Hearnes Estate Agents was set up, Lynda Hearne and Lyndon Le Boutillier were passionate about changing people’s perceptions of estate agents and proving that friendliness and professionalism can go hand in hand with experience and expertise. They were determined to be open and straightforward, always ready to help, responsive and accountable, and live up to every promise they make. They designed their approach to take the usual stresses and strains out of buying and selling property and to make the whole process as simple as possible for homeowners. Whether you’re a first-time buyer, selling a family home you’ve lived in for decades or are an experienced property investor, the focus remains the same today: to make the process as simple, efficient and quick as possible. This dynamic couple worked hard and immersed themselves in their business, and since then, they have become involved in all aspects of the local community.
As committed Christians, they believe their clients deserve a standard of service that is both ethical and effective. Linda explains, “We always endeavour to understand our clients’ real needs and fulfil them in the way they’ve every right to expect. And we expect them to judge us on how well we achieve these aims”.
Of course, sometimes mistakes are made, and transactions are not always as smooth as they would like. However, both Lynda and Lyndon are always at the end of the phone, and they go out of their way as standard to ensure every client receives the same standard of exceptional, personalised service.
Since the opening of Hearnes in 1996, Lynda and Lyndon married and have been blessed with the arrival of four children. As the company began to grow, it opened its second office in Ferndown, followed soon after by its Ringwood branch. They employed a skilled team of property specialists who also believed in their ethos of friendly and professional service. Their strapline, ‘where service counts’, underpins everything they do. Over time, Hearnes has become a market leader in estate agnecy services in the area, with staff becoming part of the communities they serve. Staff retention is high, so a familiar face will always be behind one of our doors. Many staff have been with the company since its early days, so they have excellent local knowledge of the area and most of the houses!

Anthony Holtom and Sally Gravener bought into the company in 2009 as Shareholders and Directors. With years of industry experience and extensive knowledge of the area, they took over the running of the Ringwood Office.
The four Directors took the business form strength to strength, and Sally re-opened the Bournemouth office in 2013. When Hearnes acquired Alan Cosgrove Estate Agents in Wimborne in 2014, Mark Stylianou joined as a Shareholder and Director. In 2016, Lynda and Lyndon heading the new Poole office, which incorporated Residential Sales with Land & New Homes.
All Directors personally, and as a business, buy from and use local companies in almost every instance. Hearnes are proud to be able to give back to their communities by sponsoring many charities, businesses and schools, including The Ringwood and Ferndown Schools, Ringwood and Ferndown Carnivals, The New Forest Show, The Ellingham Show, Junior Tennis at The David Lloyd Sports and Leisure Club and the West Hants Club, The Rotary Club of Ringwood, Broadstone Cricket Club, Greenfield Junior Football Club, Team Max Charity, Salterns Alliss Merlo, British Legion, British Pedal Car Grand Prix and 1st Poulner Scouts.
Hearnes has grown since its humble beginnings, and now, its oval property sales boards can be seen all over the area. Their core principals have not changed, though, with their aim of providing honest, professional and friendly estate agency services. The focus of Hearnes will always be on dealing with people and helping them through one of the most significant purchases they will make.
