About the area

Our Wimborne Office

Hearnes Wimborne opened in 2013 having taken over the Alan Cosgrove office in the heart of the town, conveniently situated opposite the Minster, which had been trading independently since 1989. Alan continues to recommend old clients from the past to Mark and his team.

Mark Stylianou took over the as Branch Director with a very much hands-on approach; leading by example, to prove hard work and honest advice along with professionalism can go hand in hand.  Repeat and recommended business is a continual endorsement from satisfied clients, many of whom cover various generations across a family and friendship circles. Choosing the right estate agent is about trust and feeling confident that your agent will work hard to achieve the best possible price for a fee that delivers the exemplary service that the client expects and is happy with.

We aim to provide a professional yet friendly service when buying or selling your home to ensure your move goes as smoothly as possible. We are here to help you through the entire move, with our team of excellent staff who take genuine pleasure in getting to know you personally and your individual requirements.

Hearnes Wimborne have a very experienced and passionate team with over 150 years of combined knowledge of selling homes, all of whom live in the local area.  Their knowledge of local schools, clubs and societies, theatre, shopping and transport routes to name but a few are frequently shared with prospective buyers. Two of our team both have lived and worked in the area for the last forty years and often recall and tell stories of the history of many properties. Julia has been in the office for 28 years!  Jeremy has been with Hearnes since 1999 (he doesn’t look old enough) Having experienced and local staff makes Wimborne  Office a special place to work and visit.

The enchanting and vibrant market town of Wimborne with its quaint streets, riverside walks and Minster Church has in recent years seen many changes, including a new Waitrose store, improvements to the Square, regular food and drink festivals and more recently the development of new houses in Wimborne and Colehill. However, the recent developments have not spoilt the charm and character of the town centre and the surrounding area, and our portfolio of properties varies greatly including character town centre properties, retirement apartments, family homes of varying sizes, equestrian and country properties and numerous character village homes.

It is expected that in the future many more families will move to the area with the excellent choice of schools playing a major part in that decision. The area is well served by a wealth of Independent schools at Dumpton, Castle Court, Canford and Bryanston as well as excellent State schools in both Colehill and Wimborne with the renowned secondary Queen Elizabeth School at Pamphill.

Mark is very excited about the future of Hearnes in Wimborne and living and working in such a wonderful town with his wife and two young daughters being part of the community.

Hearnes Wimborne play an active part in supporting the local community and schools, not just financially but getting involved in a variety of ways. Mark and his team are here to offer a warm welcome and exceptional service to current and future residents of the Wimborne area.

Mark Stylianou

Mark joined Hearnes in 2014 as Director of Wimborne Office having known Lyndon for over ten years, working for a well reputed agent in Westbourne during that period. He was born in Kingston-upon-Thames and moved to Poole at the age of 5. His father is a Greek-Cypriot hence the surname ‘Stylianou’ and he is very close to his family of 3 sisters, 7 nieces/nephews and his parents who all live in the Wimborne and surrounding area. Mark has been happily married for the past 20 years to his wife Ruth and has two daughters, Helana and Nicole. Both girls attend local schools. In his spare time Mark enjoys running, especially around Wimborne and Pamphill. He has achieved two London Marathons with the possibility of taking up the challenge of a third if he has the time in between taking his girls to ballet, swimming and gymnastics.
