With a mix of commercial savvy and strategic vision, Steve is a dynamic tech expert and thought leader with a team-first, hands-on approach. He excels in people and business leadership, navigating regulated environments, and driving business and technical innovation.
Steve's career includes achievements in sectors like Financial Services, Healthcare, Military, and Real Estate. He co-founded a leading Open Banking FinTech start-up in March 2020 and successfully exited in March 2022. Recognised as a Digital Visionary by Workplace, a Facebook company, in June 2018 and named Leader of the Year at the LV= 2014 CIO Awards. He started his career as the youngest Captain in the South African Defence Force in 1994.
In his free time, Steve loves spending quality moments with his partner, diving into DIY projects, and playing badminton. He’s always eager to learn about the latest tech trends. Steve has previously used Hearnes on several occasions when buying and selling his own homes and is super excited to bring his skills and experience to Hearnes as The Sales Progressor, adding value and making a real impact!
